High Plains Film Festival’s mission is to develop opportunities for audiences to discover film through creative, captivating experiences.  High Plains film Festival is working to promote film as both an art form and a civic forum. As the only Film Festival in Eastern Colorado, we’re dedicated to engaging our local Communities in a lifelong relationship with film.

Starting October 1st - 3rd, 2021, High Plains film festival will open for its inaugural season, bringing new voices, stories and perspectives to North Eastern Colorado, and exposing the rest of the world to the vast beauty and mystique of the high plains region of Colorado and its centuries old pioneer spirit.

Tyler Stevenson

Festival Director - Tyler Stevenson has been on the Festival board since 2019, His early Technical work in professional theatre, film and photography in southern California, eventually led to tenures in New York City and Portland, Oregon.

Mariyah Holdren

Marketing Director - Mariyah Holdren brings an array of impressive entrepreneurial skills and creative direction to the High Plains Film Festival. With an extensive background in sports marketing, corporate branding, franchise ownership, event management, sales & production, executive administration, leadership development, and motivational speaking. Mariyah is a Colorado native who lived in Denver for 13 years, before packing her bags to travel the world for the past two years. With this unique experience and opportunity of living in multiple cultures and communities, she has brought back a unmatched vision to her new home here in Sterling, Colorado.

Loretta Davidson

Finance Director - is a Colorado native and retired commercial and agricultural banker. Her educational background includes a  two-year degree from NJC, a B.S. and M.A. from Regis University in Business Administration and Information Systems.  She is active in the Logan County Arts League. She has had various roles in the Logan County Economic Development Corporation, NJC Advisory Board, NJC Foundation and other community service organizations through the years. She is also an award winning photographer.
